It started with a dream about the words we use. Kind Lips began with an idea for a lip balm company. Then one conversation with my mom gave it a purpose I never expected. THE IDEA THAT STILL GUIDES US Words have power. THE WORDS THAT STARTED IT ALL “The law of kindness is on my lips.” My Mom's Dream The name Kind Lips wasn't created in a branding meeting. It came from a moment that gave me direction and purpose. One evening, I told my mom I had a crazy idea: I wanted to start a lip balm company. She wasn't nearly as excited as I was. The next morning, she called and told me about a vivid dream. In it, I had spoken unkindly to my sister. My mom made me write the words: “The law of kindness is on my lips.” As I wrote them down, two words seemed to jump off the page. Kind. Lips. Suddenly, the lip balm had a purpose. A product you use on your lips could become a reminder to think about the words that come from them.
