Rooted in nature. Built on relationships. Headquartered in Lawrence, Kansas, Eangee Home Design’s story began more than 8,000 miles away in the Philippines. During his travels, Clyde Godfrey discovered a distinctive handcrafted gecko lamp that reminded him of his son Chris, who kept geckos and other reptiles. Inspired by the lamp’s design and materials, Clyde saw an opportunity to introduce similarly distinctive pieces to the U.S. market. That idea became Eangee Home Design, founded in Lawrence in 2003 by Clyde Godfrey, Chris Godfrey, and Shay Elder. From that first lamp to today’s broader collection, the purpose remains much the same: distinctive design, natural materials, skilled craftsmanship, and meaningful partnerships.
