Commonwealth Soap & Toiletries (CST) is the second-largest private-label soap manufacturer in the United States. Founded in 1990 by the Layne family in Foster, Rhode Island, CST has grown from a single bar soap line to seven full production lines across our facilities in Fall River, Massachusetts with a peak capacity of 200,000 bars per day.
CST serves national brands, major retailers, hotel and cruise line amenity programs, hospitals, spas, household-product brands, and private-label entrepreneurs across the United States and Internationally.
Situated in Fall River, Massachusetts, CST proudly stands as one of the foremost private-label soap manufacturers in the United States. Our over 30-year strong legacy is a testament to our dedication to excellence in both bar and liquid soap manufacturing.
We began our story as a hot pour bar soap manufacturer in the basement of the Layne family in Foster, RI. With only four employees, this small, family-owned business has now blossomed into the second-largest private-label soap company in the USA.
From a single soap line producing small runs of high-quality soaps all being hand wrapped, to six full production lines, including high-speed lines able to produce 150,000 bars per day, we are very proud of our heritage and look forward to continuing to serve the biggest and best retailers, amenity providers, and private-label companies in the world.
