I’ve been making jewelry for as long as I can remember. My inspiration stems from a life lived in motion; I'm an avid world-traveler and outdoor adventure has always been at the core of my identity. The idea began in my 20's while instructing backcountry expeditions for the Outward Bound School. I began fielding requests from my co-instructors for jewelry that was strong enough to withstand the rigors of the outdoors but still delicate enough to help us feel feminine and beautiful underneath the grit of wilderness living. With a little digging in the repair room at basecamp and discovering Gore-Tex thread, I was able to outfit many ladies in the first iterations of Bronwen Jewelry.
