Mira Byler

Brand · Retailer · Gallery

Miranda Byler graduated from Kent State University with a B.S. in biology in 2016. Incorporating fragments of nature with a love for science and travel regularly comes out in her oil and acrylic paintings. Honoring the convoluted array of human emotion and paralleling that with the temporary color palettes nature has to offer is one of her favorite ways challenge others to look at the world through a more playful lens. An ocean wave can be captured and painted, but it is long gone before a painting can even begin. Art is an endless appreciation of the temporary – from the flowers that bloom to the emotions we feel come and go. In 2022, Mira became a mother to twins and faced complications that affected her mobility for 6 months. She was left without feeling in her left leg and had to learn to walk again. The feelings of joy from motherhood, postpartum depression, and grieving her mobility led her to an easel. She gained back her mobility and a renewed purpose for creating. By contrasting personal battles and victories with beautiful elements in paintings, Mira strives to empower others to honor their feelings and move forward too. Mira also creates lighthearted art videos on YouTube. In addition, she sells art merchandise in her online store. In her free time, she loves to garden, travel, play board games, go to church, and spend time with family. She lives in Columbus, OH with her husband and incredible twins.
