The Village Confectionery

Sleepy Hollow, NYBrand · Food and drink

From producer to confectioner. I spent fifteen years in Film & Television. As a producer, I worked with visionary directors and talented crews, creating art that mattered. I helped bring beautiful stories to life. Solved impossible problems. Made magic happen on impossible timelines. Until one day I realized I'd spent so long executing other people's dreams, I'd forgotten I was allowed to have one of my own. Walking away from a career mid-sentence is terrifying. You're leaving an identity you've spent years building. But here's what I learned: the skills are identical. Managing budgets. Coordinating teams. Solving problems that didn't exist until they're actively on fire. Only now it's my vision. My choices. My late nights and early mornings and moments wondering if I've completely lost my mind. But also: my wins. My pride when something clicks. My legacy being built — one handmade sweet at a time. — Kate Bolger, Founder
