Common Good

Brooklyn, NYBrand · Home goods

In 2010, I founded Common Good with a clear vision: to create safe, refillable products that I was comfortable using around my kids and pets. After a trip home to Australia, I was reminded that refilling laundry bottles was the norm. I returned to NY determined to combat the wastefulness of single-use plastics by creating a line of refillable household soaps and cleaning products. As a mother, I needed to know that the ingredients we used were non-toxic and safe for my family. When I started looking at what was in the so-called green products we were using, I was alarmed by the skin-irritating and hormone-disrupting chemicals I found in many of the so-called natural products I was buying. I worked with a chemist to create formulations that not only worked but complied with chemical regulations in the strictest markets in the world. With my background as a stylist, I also wanted these products to be as beautiful as they were safe. We started out of my Brooklyn home, and thanks to support from people like you, we’ve grown to be a trusted global brand. We pioneered the modern refill movement and continue to evolve our mission to eliminate plastic entirely from all our products. Your support and commitment to our vision mean the world to us. Thank you for being part of this journey. - Sacha, Founder/CEO
