Hello! I’m Matty. ARTIST, EDUCATOR, SEEKER OF WONDER. I grew up traveling between the hills of New York and the deserts of New Mexico. Living in Colorado for the past twenty years, I’m continually fascinated by the open skies and resilient flora of the Southwest. I was born in the back of my family's Volvo station wagon, to the dismay of my 3 older brothers who were present at the event. Having spent most of my young life under my mom's studio table, it was inevitable that I become an artist. Along the way I've had many other adventures, including: Studying to be a clown Trekking a pilgrimage across Spain Living in a cave while spending my days riding wild horses in Turkey For the past 10 years I have worked as an artist and teacher in Colorado. I love learning about the world while I create my art. My passion is using art to make the world a more beautiful, authentic, and hopeful place.
