Damson Madder

LondonBrand · Clothing

Damson Madder was born in the Spring of 2020. I'd been working in the fashion industry for years and had begun to become disillusioned by some of the bad practices that I saw going on behind the scenes. I wanted to focus on something slower, more considered, and more responsible; but where innovative and exciting design was still the driving force. We started working with different recycled and organic fabric bases and experimenting with natural dyes. While we were testing out colours, some of our early favourites were called 'Damson' (plum) and 'Madder' (flower) - and so Damson Madder was born. Today responsible practices, transparency and small-batch production are still the beating heart of everything we do. We know our industry comes with inherent challenges. Our journey towards improving our responsibility is ongoing, and we're constantly evolving to ensure our practices have a reduced impact on both people and the environment. At the centre of everything, is quality. Every Damson Madder piece is crafted to endure, to be worn, loved, and reworn. Our hope is that through considered design and intentional production, our garments become long-standing fixtures in your wardrobe — never destined for landfill, but made to last. Exciting design, enduring quality, conscious production.
