The Grate Plate

At our heart, The Grate Plate is a special mother-daughter venture built on a shared love of cooking, creativity, and thoughtful design.
Our journey began with a simple yet innovative idea — to create a ceramic grating plate that transforms the way you prepare everyday ingredients like garlic, ginger, peppers, and more. In the early days, every plate was made by our own hands, carefully crafted one at a time and brought to local farmers’ markets. Those markets were where The Grate Plate truly came to life, as home cooks discovered just how easy and fun prepping fresh ingredients could be.
The response was overwhelming. What started as a small handmade project quickly grew beyond what we could produce ourselves. As demand spread and more kitchens discovered The Grate Plate, we took the next step in our journey — expanding production so we could continue sharing our design with cooks everywhere while staying true to the quality and craftsmanship that started it all.
Today, The Grate Plate can be found in retail stores across the country, helping make cooking quicker, easier, and more enjoyable. While we’ve grown, our mission remains the same: to create beautiful, functional tools that bring a little more joy to the kitchen.
From our hands to yours, we hope The Grate Plate makes cooking quick, easy, and most of all… fun!
