Tights are the plastic straw of the fashion industry. Each year, 8 billion pairs of tights are produced, worn once and then discarded. This makes hosiery women’s biggest wear-and-tear clothing item. Swedish Stockings was founded in 2013 with a vision to transform the hosiery industry by creating more sustainable tights. Since then, our mission has been to drive and implement change across the entire fashion industry by leading with sustainable production, without compromising on quality or design. Our tights are produced by carefully selected suppliers in Italy, from recycled materials and natural fibres, delivering the highest quality and expertise to a long-lasting product. Pantyhose are women's biggest consumable garment and also incredibly harmful to the environment. We started Swedish Stockings because we believed we could make a change. Sustainability and quality goes hand in hand. If we can create a product that women can wear for a longer time, then we can also buy less. — Linn Frisinger and Nadja Forsberg, Founders of Swedish Stockings
