In 2002, college student Gina Renee turned her hobby of weaving hemp bracelets into Sonya Renee Jewelry. Twenty-five years later, the brand has sold in over 2,500 stores worldwide and been featured in print, TV, and film. It started as a side hustle. It became her first entrepreneurial child.
