Smelle (formerly North + 29 Candle Co.) was founded in 2016 when I was a new stay-at-home mom, navigating my journey through motherhood. I cherished every moment with my daughter and wanted to create something that allowed me to provide for our family while being present for all of those special moments.
During nap times and after bedtime, I had a strong urge to be creative. I've always loved candles, so I started making them for fun in my kitchen and selling them to friends and family. My competitive spirit drove me to perfect the art of candlemaking, turning days of testing into months and eventually over a year until I perfected my recipe and method.
Now, as a mother of three daughters, I have dedicated this business to them. I am incredibly proud of my journey and what this company has grown into today. Our products reflect the same dedication to perfection that I had from the beginning. I hope that when you burn our candles in your home, you feel the love that went into each one.
