Shebobo

Ashland, ORBrand · Accessories

Founded in 2011 in San Francisco by designer Kirsten Schipper, Shebobo began with a simple vision: to create beautiful, high-quality straw hats and bags that celebrate craftsmanship, pattern, texture, and color. In her search for the perfect place to bring this vision to life, Kirsten discovered the extraordinary artistry of Madagascar’s traditional weaving techniques. She was captivated by the vibrant raffia hues, the meticulous handwork, and the deep sense of community among the artisans. After traveling to Madagascar to meet the craftspeople in person, a lasting partnership was born. Over a decade later, Shebobo continues to collaborate directly with these skilled artisans. Co-creating a collection that has expanded to include sandals and home decor - all crafted from natural fibers and made by hand with care. Every Shebobo piece carries the warmth of Madagascar’s craftsmanship and an easy, casual elegance. Whether you’re strolling the farmer’s market, lounging seaside, or jetting off to your next getaway, Shebobo brings effortless style to every sunlit moment. Thank you for supporting handmade artistry and the vibrant community of makers who bring each design to life. Made with heart. Woven by hand. : Handmade in Madagascar.
