Santa Barbara Designs
Oxnard, CABrand
In 1981, something beautiful began on the sun-soaked coast of California. Inspired by the Mediterranean markets and the refined Santa Barbara lifestyle, we created our first umbrella—a timeless design that would become the foundation for everything that followed.
Today, from private estates in Montecito to yacht clubs in Monaco, from luxury hotels in Miami to exclusive restaurants in Manhattan, Santa Barbara Designs umbrellas have become the quiet luxury that speaks volumes. Each one is more than shade—it’s a statement of uncompromising taste, a gathering place for life’s most treasured moments.
Every umbrella is bench made and hand-finished by skilled Southern California craftsmen who understand that true luxury is found in the marriage of beauty and endurance. We use only marine-grade materials tested in the world’s harshest conditions—UV-resistant finishes on the finest timber, brass or stainless steel fittings that never rust, and commercial-grade canvases that resist both mildew and time itself.
Your vision becomes our blueprint. With diverse collections and countless combinations of shape, size, fabric, and finish, every umbrella is crafted to your exact specifications. From the wood species that forms the frame to the precise shade of fabric that catches the afternoon light, each choice shapes an umbrella that is unmistakably yours.
This is the Santa Barbara way—where Mediterranean inspiration meets California innovation, where traditional craftsmanship embraces modern performance, and where every umbrella is designed not just to provide shade, but to enhance the spaces where elegance gathers.
