Ornamental Things
Pflugerville, TXBrand · Jewelry
Ornamental Things was born from my love of beautiful things, a sense of adventure, and the stories we tell about our favorite jewelry. I believe a person’s jewelry should feel like part of a personal collection, like something discovered in a tucked-away antique shop, inherited from a loved one, or received as a meaningful gift. That sense of history and wonder is what I strive to capture in every design.
I started Ornamental Things in Austin, Texas in 2004, inspired by the bold, curious, and free-spirited people who live life fully and unapologetically. I believe jewelry should be personal, expressive, and meaningful, like a favorite souvenir from a moment in time.
My process blends curated sourcing with hands-on craftsmanship. I gather high-quality components from trusted vendors in the U.S. and around the world, choosing them for their beauty, durability, and storytelling potential. Some elements are vintage-inspired, while others are one-of-a-kind flea market finds that I replicate through casting.
I work with expert platers who apply our signature metal finishes, designed to reflect Ornamental Things’ unique aesthetic. Pieces are often soldered to form custom designs, and some are hand-painted for added character.
Every piece is carefully assembled in my studio just outside Austin, where I oversee quality control and ensure each design meets my standards for beauty, comfort, and lasting wear.
I'm passionate about creating jewelry that lasts, offering exceptional customer service, and giving back where I can. That’s why a portion of every purchase supports Women for Women International, helping empower women survivors of war and conflict around the world.
Whether you're choosing a meaningful piece for yourself or finding a special gift, I hope my jewelry becomes part of your story and adds a little magic along the way.
