Pioneering children's furniture standards since 2002. Based in Brooklyn, Oeuf is a sustainable children's lifestyle brand who believe children deserve good design and a better world. Since 2002 we've been combining playful modernism with ethical production and simple, intuitive designs. Inspired by our own kids and the evolving needs of 21st century families, our creations are made to be loved hard and handed down. Michael Ryan and Sophie Demenge are the husband-and-wife team behind Oeuf. The birth of their first child in 2002 turned the couple’s talents to children’s design, and together they founded Oeuf, with the aim of supporting parents in providing a safe foundation for their kids. Oeuf (pronounced UH-F) means egg in French. Oeuf (pronounced “uhf”) means “egg” in French—a symbol of simplicity, beauty, and strength. It’s also a reminder of care and protection, much like a maman poule—the French term for a nurturing parent. From the very beginning, Oeuf has been about creating thoughtful, well-designed pieces that embrace these values. With a deep respect for children and a commitment to sustainability, our designs are made to support growing families while being gentle on the planet. Oeuf furniture is produced and sourced in Europe at an FSC certified factory. Oeuf baby alpaca goods are produced in South America by a knitting collective. Designed in Brooklyn, by parents for kids.
