Here at NobleWorks Cards, we don't just have a regular old owner, creative director or president, we have a chief cardologist. As one of the original members of the NobleWorks crew, our Chief Cardologist Ron Kanfi joined his good friends Christopher Noble, a house painter, and Jay Purvis, art director for Conde Nast's Vanity Fair and GQ magazines, to create NobleWorks Cards in 1980. Back then, NobleWorks was a bit more squeaky clean (despite its location: the Meatpacking District in New York City, which was once a self-admittedly sleazy Manhattan neighborhood) and printed cards using Noble's leftover latex paint. It has since grown to reinvent the world of adult greeting cards and create a new meaning behind "naughty, funny" cards. Kanfi became NobleWorks' creative director after the company tragically lost Chris Noble to AIDS in 2001.
