One late night, In the winter of 2016, I had a little idea to use some scrap wood from an old project to make some fun, funky, new earrings. Turns out that little idea made a huge impact on me, because shortly after, Moon-Seed was born.
Moon-Seed is the reflection of the seed that was planted that night: those earrings that grew into this wonderful journey and business. Moon-Seed is all about creating art for your ears. I design statement earrings with a fun bold play on circular forms, geometric shapes, classic art movements, Caribbean vibes, and colorful patterns.
I draw inspiration in my choice of mediums as well. I embrace many different materials such as wood, acrylic, and resin. I am proud to say that our pieces are dynamic. They are fun, sophisticated, sculptural and incredibly unique. They are versatile, and appeal to accommodate a wide range of tastes.
All of the pieces are designed and handmade from start to finish in my home studio in Charleston, South Carolina. Due to the handmade nature of these items, patterns and colors may vary slightly from one pair to the next, making each pair uniquely special. I am so glad that you are here, supporting artists, makers, small businesses and slow fashion. Thank you for coming on this journey with me.
Love you to the moon and back,
- Cathy
