Mimikai

Portland, ORBrand · Body care

It all started with a tomato. Not just any tomato - wild ones, growing in North Carolina’s thick, buggy summer heat. While most plants were getting eaten alive, these particular tomatoes stood untouched. No bites. No bugs. Just thriving. A local professor discovered why: they produced Undecanone - a naturally occurring compound that repels mosquitoes and ticks. Nature had built its own bug shield. We just had to listen. For decades, repellents came in two directions: conventional actives or essential-oil formulas designed around scent and feel. Mimikai is different - powered by nature, backed by science, and EPA - registered for proven mosquito and tick protection. We didn’t want to compromise. We’re Stephanie Watson and Michelle Arnau - moms, adventurers, and believers in products that work hard and feel good on skin. We spent seven years perfecting, proving, and EPA-registering this technology - and formulating it to be something you’d actually want to wear. The result? Mimikai - powered by nature. Proven by science. Non-toxic when used as directed. Because when nature shows us a smarter way, we follow it.
