Merle Works produces small batch hand-dyed goods and other ephemera. It is an exploration of color, magic, and joy: a series of experiments in working fast and loose, leaving permanent marks, and finding beauty in mess. The project began with urgency in 2020. It nurtures human connection, a love of language and color, and a spirit that anything can happen. It makes for inspired, intentional giving and receiving.
Also, there’s no plastic packaging or packing materials. Except for the greeting card sleeves, which seem to be an unavoidable industry standard at this point. Everything is made and packaged by hand, real human hands. All goods are dyed and finished in a studio in the historic Studebaker Building in Asbury Park, NJ.
