Mama Teav's
Brand · Food and drink
We’re a chef-made pantry brand celebrating the cooking mom taught us. We make big-flavor condiments for hardcore heat-chasers as well as your wimpiest white friend.
...which sounds like a crazy reason to start a company with someone. For us, it was the best way to translate our mom’s cooking and our Southeast Asian roots into something we could share widely. After all, we’ve shared so many of her meals around the table—why would we gatekeep that joy?!Over the years, we've built our careers at esteemed culinary institutions like Morimoto Napa, The French Laundry, The Progress, State Bird Provisions, andNyum Bai. Now, we’re here to share our mom’s philosophy: that those who enjoy bland food are at risk of developing a weak spirit. Just kidding—or are we?
Our bold flavors are rooted in family, tradition, and culture. Southeast Asian cooking can’t be divorced from its complex flavor profiles. There’s a depth of flavor that can’t be found anywhere else, and we’re intent on preserving that.
In this household, bland is banned. Nothing about our flavors is shy, subtle or bashful, and our chef-made products not only redefine the possibilities of Asian home-cooking, but offer something sincerely new to crowded shelves.
NATURAL, WHOLE, AND SIMPLE INGREDIENTS
Pantry staples can often feel like lab-made science projects. Ours are built from natural ingredients using simple methods—not complicated recipes or flashy techniques. Mom’s philosophy? Fewer ingredients, more flavor.
