LaCott Fine Art, a woman-run small business, celebrates the natural world through minimalistic design, expressive details, and beauty of simplicity through fine art watercolor and education. Our focus is quality products for the home, highlighting original paintings, artist prints, stationery and cards, and home decor items. Laura Cott is the artist and owner of LaCott Fine Art, living and working in Western New York. Cott graduated from Buffalo State College with a Bachelor's in Fine Arts degree in painting. LaCott Fine Art was born out of a passion for creativity and a desire to bring expression and beauty to the world through physical products and workshops. This painting and education-based business started in 2015 as a part-time passion project and has grown into a full-time dream. The educational piece of LaCott Fine Art focuses on in-person workshops and online resources for multiple mediums and age ranges, working closely with other creative minds and businesses in her community to pursue the teaching of the arts. LaCott Fine Art's philosophy focuses on the idea that everything is a product of our lens on the world, artistic choices, and creative problem-solving. We are not setting out to capture nature in perfect detail but capture its essence. All prints, patterns, and stationery items are carefully reproduced from original paintings and illustrations to maintain their hand-painted and drawn aesthetics, printed and packaged by hand in her Orchard Park, NY home studio. Products and artwork are for sale through her online shop.
