Founded in 1998, Kolo creates timeless tools for the impossibly creative—archival photo albums, precision writing instruments, organic waxed cotton bags, small leather goods, Italian sunglasses, and Japanese-inspired house shoes.
Originally known for its clean, beautiful albums and journals, Kolo was acquired by Topdrawer in 2016 and became its Maison brand, representing the heart of craft, ritual, and analog design.
From your sketchbook to your duffle bag, Kolo supports the art of slowing down and making things by hand—with tools designed to last a lifetime. As a member of 1% for the Planet, we pledge 1% of sales of all Kolo Bags, Small Leather Goods, Sunglasses, Fine Pens, and Paper to non-profit organizations in Africa to save the great wild animals.
More than a brand, Kolo is a celebration of “Creatura Imaginativa.”
A living spirit of invention and beauty, Kolo invites creative people into a whimsical and wondrous world—where a pen becomes a passport, a notebook becomes a sanctuary, and house shoes become a ritual. This spirit animates everything we make, from fountain pens to small leather goods. It is our call to those who imagine boldly and live artfully.
