Lingerie is what you wear every day.
That, more than anything, is why Journelle exists. Founder Claire Chambers opened the first store on Union Square in December 2007 with a single conviction: that beautiful lingerie shouldn't be reserved for occasions. It belongs to ordinary mornings, ordinary evenings, and the long unremarkable hours in between.
The name reflects that. Journelle is borrowed from the French word journellement — meaning daily.
Almost two decades later we have three boutiques — Union Square, SoHo, and the Upper East Side — and the conviction hasn't changed: that what you wear closest to your skin is the most personal decision in your wardrobe, and the one most worth getting right.
