Highlights for Children
Brand
Highlights magazine was first published in 1946, in a little two-room office by husband and wife Garry Cleveland Myers and Caroline Clark Myers. Nationally recognized leaders in education and child development, they believed children are the world's most important people.
They filled their first kids magazines with stories, adventures, brainteasers and, of course, iconic Hidden Pictures puzzles. And when their readers started writing them letters, they wrote back because they believed kids deserve to be heard and feel seen.
Every issue since has reflected their philosophy that kids grow into their best selves by using their creativity and imagination; developing their reading, thinking and reasoning skills; and learning to treat others with respect, kindness and sensitivity.
