Berkeley Place Books and Savory House Press are imprints of Great Texas Line Press, a boutique publishing house based in Fort Worth, Texas. Our aim is to produce quality books that are value priced. Begun in 1994 as a mid-life crisis venture by ex-foreign correspondent Barry Shlachter, it has evolved into a publisher of cooking, travel books, humor books, sports and specialty books. Every effort is made to engage writers, photographers, editors and graphic designers forced out of daily journalism in Texas because of the newspaper industry crisis. All books are printed in U.S.A.
