Georgetown University Press
Brand
The beginnings of Georgetown University Press can be traced to 1964—and we currently publish approximately forty new titles per year, as well as two journals, with an active list of
more than 1,000 titles across the fields of languages & linguistics, international affairs, religion & theology, political science, regional studies, and global business and the
global economy.
These publications primarily service the scholarly community, and many also reach the general reading public. Many help to unite people speaking different languages, literally and
figuratively, and all attempt to illuminate, clarify, and respond to the world’s most difficult questions.
Our Mission
“In service of ideas.”
We publish authors whose ideas will shape our collective future and inspire readers to know the world better. Our books and resources enable readers to reach across barriers, locally and
globally, in order to engage with one another. Our publishing embodies the Georgetown University ideals of academic excellence, intellectual inquiry, and service for the common good.
