At Dye Kween, we believe color is most beautiful when it comes from nature.
Using flowers, leaves, bark, roots, and botanical extracts, we create one-of-a-kind textiles that preserve the fleeting beauty of the natural world. Rather than printing patterns or relying on synthetic dyes, we allow plants to leave their own impressions on cloth, creating colors and markings that could never be repeated by machine and tell their own story.
Every piece is hand dyed in small batches in our Maplewood, New Jersey studio. Many of the flowers we use are grown from seed in our own dye garden, while others are sourced from local growers and trusted suppliers. Each collection reflects the colors and character of a particular moment in nature.
We work exclusively with natural fibers—including silk, linen, cotton, bamboo, and wool—chosen for their beauty, durability, and ability to absorb botanical color with extraordinary depth. The result is a collection of textiles designed to be worn, used, and treasured for years.
No two pieces are ever exactly alike. Slight variations in color, pattern, and botanical markings are not imperfections, but a reflection of the slow, organic process behind every piece. The photographs throughout our website represent each collection's signature palette and aesthetic, while the textile you receive will always be uniquely yours.
Every Dye Kween piece is a quiet collaboration between nature and the maker—a small record of the season, preserved in cloth.
