LOVE IT AMSTERDAM

Amsterdam, NetherlandsBrand · Accessories

LOVE IT a small one person screen printing and hand painted fabric studio in Amsterdam and was founded by moi : Ingrid Korteknie. I went to art school and had a long career as stylist in advertisements. Together with my sister in law ( unbelievable but also a stylist) we started the first theme/concept Fairytale store in 2000. 2 stylists opening a theme shop. Best time ever! We were covered in all kinds of magazines every week. This was before facebook and instagram. A Fairytale (wholesale) Shop Sadly the shop closed after 12 years. The theme/ concept Fairytale was too easy to copy and big compagnies embraced /copied it and made special Fairytale sections in their stores. If i made something special, it took them 1 month to copy exactly and sell it their 50+ stores. A bit lost i started several adventures, one of them was; ISH.Amsterdam‍ with hand painted products in September 2015: ISH = Ingrid-Sylvie-Hester . But Three is a crowd and we split in 2 different compagnies 1,5 year later. Which was a good thing in the end because i needed to learn new skills, like screen printing. Now i can do both. Hand painting and Screen printing.
