Songbird Artistry

Pittsburgh, PABrand · Retailer · Gift shop

Songbird Artistry is a mother-and-daughters team — Debbie Jacknin and her daughters, Jennifer and Jacklyn — with a passion for creativity and supporting our community. Our journey began when Jennifer started selling her handmade jewelry, Jenn’s Jems, while she was still in high school. From those early days, we continued to grow—eventually opening a booth at the Pittsburgh Public Market in the Strip District in 2009, where we shared our handmade goods and built lasting relationships with fellow local artists and makers. When the Publi Market closed in 2016, we took a leap and opened our own brick-and-mortar shop, rebranding as Songbird Artistry. For years, our Penn Avenue space—across from Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh—was home to a vibrant collection of locally crafted jewelry, prints, apparel, beauty items, vintage goods, and more, featuring the work of over 50 Pittsburgh artisans. In April 2026, we closed our shop and began a new chapter. Today, Songbird Artistry can be found vending at shows and events throughout the Pittsburgh area, as well as in select local shops. We also welcome wholesale opportunities as we continue to share and support handmade work in new and meaningful ways.
