Hi, I’m Jen - the human behind Made By Scratch Crafts. I create handmade gifts for cat lovers who are just as obsessed with their cats as I am. Everything in my shop is made with care, a sense of humor, and usually with a cat supervising the process. Made By Scratch Crafts is a small, handmade gift shop in the USA creating gifts for cat lovers. How Made By Scratch Crafts Started I never thought of myself as a “crafter.” I enjoyed little projects here and there over the years, but nothing serious… until I planned my wedding. I ended up making most of the décor myself - from sola wood flower bouquets and boutonnieres to signs, favors, and a giant wedding word search for our guests. I loved the entire process and realized I might be onto something. At the wedding, a friend who owns a local shop asked if I could create some local souvenir items for her store. I said yes… and started crafting immediately. I knew I needed a niche - something that felt very me. Anyone who knows me knows the answer: cats. Taking care of feral cats, helping rescue cats in need of homes, and generally being “that cat lady” has always been part of my life. So I leaned into it - and Made By Scratch Crafts was born. Today, I create handmade gifts for fellow cat lovers, inspired by the chaos, humor, and joy that comes with sharing your life with cats. This is Sushi, the official Made By Scratch Crafts shop manager. Her responsibilities include quality control (sitting on materials), packaging inspections, and reminding me to take breaks. She takes her job very seriously.
